Video Marketing Success Story: Green Panther Chef

Video Marketing Success Story: Green Panther Chef

Here’s An Example Of What LinkedIn Can Do For You

Chef Jazz just got invited to exhibit her products at The CBD Show in London!

“Showcasing the very best CBD suppliers from across the world” is their tagline.

Now, they're promoting Chef Jazz to their global audience.

That's free advertising to her target audience around the world!

This opportunity came to Chef Jazz through LinkedIn, by sharing videos like this one:

Videos like this are how Chef Jazz is demonstrating to the world that she is the subject matter expert to hire.

Missing Opportunities

In January of 2019 when I started working with Chef Jazz, she wasn't even using LinkedIn.

She had an account, but she wasn't logging in or doing anything with it.

I told Chef Jazz, “There's money for you on LinkedIn. You have the opportunity to be the face and the voice of your industry on LinkedIn because nobody else is doing it.”

As you can see, Chef Jazz had an opportunity to bring some serious flavor to LinkedIn (pun intended), and really make herself stand out.

That Probably Applies To You, Too

Most business owners are not maximizing the opportunities that LinkedIn provides.

That means you can really make a name for yourself in your industry IF you start creating content that demonstrates your expertise.

Somebody in your industry is going to use LinkedIn to start grabbing up all the clients who are actively searching for help.

People want help. If your competitor is who is making themselves visible, it’s your competitor who is going to get hired.

And they don’t have to be in your zip code to take clients from you.

Here's what NOT maximizing LinkedIn looks like:

  • Not having an account at all.

  • Having an account that you created years ago and barely or never log into.

  • Logging into LinkedIn regularly and consuming other people's content (liking, sharing, commenting), but not creating any original content for other people to like, share, and comment on.

You cannot establish yourself as a subject matter expert if all you’re doing is liking other people’s posts!

Nobody Is Searching The Bleachers For Talent

If you want people to find you and hire you, you have to put yourself on the playing field where you can be seen.

Chef Jazz has put herself on the playing field and now opportunities are coming to find her, like this opportunity to go exhibit in London.

This is a huge milestone in establishing Chef Jazz as a global brand and as one of the premiere voices in her industry, the cannabis / CBD industry.

This opportunity would have gone to someone else if Chef Jazz were not active on LinkedIn.

Somebody is searching LinkedIn every day for someone who does what you do.

Whether or not you show up in those search results is entirely up to you.

Chef Jazz Created Her Own Luck

As it turns out, The CBD Show found the best person possible because there’s nobody better than Chef Jazz.

But if she weren’t active on LinkedIn, they would have found someone else…the best person who actively markets themselves!

Being the best is irrelevant if you’re not putting in the marketing effort.

If you’re not marketing yourself, you will watch opportunity after opportunity go to people less qualified than you are because they put themselves on the playing field.

The best don’t win. The best marketers do.

You can create your own luck, or you can sit in the bleachers complaining about other people who “got lucky.”

Chef Jazz Is Going To Be The Shark On Shark Tank

When the world has changed enough for CBD products to be on mainstream TV, Chef Jazz is going to be the shark in that seat.

That’s if she hasn’t created her own online version before then.

Cannabis and CBD are becoming more and more mainstream by the day and Chef Jazz is putting herself in position to be the expert that everyone knows.

Here's how she's doing it:

1) She Has The Talent

All anyone has to do is watch one episode of Chef Jazz’s cooking show to know that she’s got the goods!

Chef Jazz understands that having all that talent would mean nothing if she wasn’t helping the world see it.

2) She Has The Backstory

Chef Jazz has a powerful “why.”

She literally saved her own life by teaching herself how to cook with cannabis to treat her Crohn’s disease.

Once down to 84 pounds on traditional medication, Chef Jazz is now happy and healthy and more than ten years removed from taking any traditional Crohn’s medication.

She shares her story in the interview below.

That interview is a very important tool in Chef Jazz’s marketing toolkit. And it’s a tool that most small business owners are not taking advantage of.

With her interview, Chef Jazz is giving people around the world the opportunity to get to know her and become emotionally invested in her.

“People don’t buy for logical reasons, they buy for emotional reasons.” —Zig Ziglar

Getting people emotionally invested in your brand is how you make more sales.

Chef Jazz understands that.

She’s not hiding in the bleachers where it’s safe and comfortable and unprofitable.

Chef Jazz is out on the field, playing HARD and going after that money!

3) She Has The Hustle

Chef Jazz promotes herself and creates opportunities for people to find her and hire her.

Chef Jazz Is Not Out Here Playing

Chef Jazz is a black woman claiming her spot in the multi-billion dollar cannabis / CBD industry.

She's not waiting for anyone to come hand her an opportunity, she's going out and creating opportunities for herself, every single day.

This is where most people fail.

It’s On You!

If your revenue is not where you want it to be, you have to ask yourself are you the problem?

Are you putting forth the marketing effort necessary to attract the opportunities you want, or are you Netflix and chillin' up in the bleachers expecting opportunity to come find you?

As I wrote earlier, nobody is searching the bleachers for talent.

If you want to get found, you're going to have to put yourself out on the playing field and make yourself seen.

Women (And Particularly Black Women), I’m Talking To You!

All-male boards and all-male panels are being outlawed around the country.

People are looking for qualified women to sit on their boards and on their panels.

Are you expecting these people to come to your home and knock on your door?

Or do you think you might find more opportunity by making it easy for people to find you and hire you?

You cannot complain about a lack of representation if you’re not doing your part to help people find you.

If you want those prime ($$$) public speaking engagements, do you think it might help if you let more people know that you’re an expert available for hire?
