What desert, cave, or jungle on planet Earth can you go to where they don't know Nike, Coca-Cola, and McDonald's?

Yet Coca-Cola still spends $6 BILLION dollars on advertising.

How much have you invested in your brand again?

You Gotta Spend Money To Make Money

Marketing is a game of return-on-investment.

If you don't want to invest, you're not going to get a return.

Coca-Cola didn't start out spending $6 billion.

They got there over time by steadily making increasing advertising investments that steadily yielded increasing returns.

If you run a business and you're spending more each year on Amazon, cable TV, streaming services, Starbucks, etc. than you're investing in advertising your business, ask yourself what those expenses did to grow your business last year.

You can keep making Bezos (Amazon) and Hastings (Netflix) and Johnson (Starbucks) rich, or you can invest in your own business.

There's no right or wrong answer. Just posing some food for thought about where you spend your money every day.

Add up Starbucks and TV / streaming services and [insert monthly discretionary expense] and see what impact someone else's advertising budget is having on your bank account each year.

It adds up.
