There's Not Going To Be An Amazon Prime Solution To This

Ordering something that had to be delivered by mail used to mean 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.

It just arrived whenever it arrived.

Taking pictures used to mean sending rolls of film off to be processed.

There used to be no binge-watching.

You used to have to watch a show over whatever span of months it was delivered because that was the only way.

That's how things used to be.

Instant Gratification

With the advent of the internet, we've gotten used to getting everything immediately.

Packages arrive in two days. In some cases, you can order something in the morning and have it delivered that afternoon.

Now, we can take as many pictures as we want and not only see them instantly, but instantly share them with anyone in the world or with the entire world.

Now, we can watch an entire season of a show in one day.

In the last twenty years, we've gotten used to everything happening right now.

COVID-19 is not operating on internet time

There's not going to be a quick resolution.

If you listen to the people who have experience in dealing with viruses like this, it's clear that in the most optimistic and unlikely scenario, we will be living with COVID-19 for at least three years.

For us to have a vaccine in three years means that a number of separate and very complicated processes have to occur with the best-case scenario happening for each individual process.

Developing vaccine candidates, testing the candidates, developing solutions for any side-effects, manufacturing the vaccine on a global scale, administering the vaccine on a global scale, doing all of this without patents and greed getting in the way...

How does all of this happen in three years?...particularly given that if a vaccine is developed in 18 months, that would be the first time in history that a vaccine was developed that quickly, according to the experts.

We're in for a long haul

HIV, even when no one knew what it was, wasn't as deadly as COVID-19.

You couldn't catch it just by going to the grocery store and it didn't kill you in a matter of weeks the way COVID-19 does.

2021 will mark FORTY YEARS since the AIDS epidemic officially began in 1981.

There's still no HIV vaccine.

If you've not adapted your mindset to the truth about the timelines for developing vaccines, you're going to have difficulty navigating the new world we live in.

We have to live with COVID-19.

It's not going away this summer. It's not going away this year.

Your summer vacation plans are going to change.

We'll still be dealing with this during the holiday season, so the way you used to do Thanksgiving is going to change.

If you run a business, you are going to have to develop a new way of conducting business that works in a world where COVID-19 exists because it is not going anywhere anytime soon.

Face The Facts

Change your mindset to stop expecting a quick resolution because there isn't one coming.

What do you need to do for your business to succeed in a world where in three years, nothing will be different than it is today?

Solutions

It’s time to start developing a video strategy, if you don’t have one because we’re going to be conducting a lot more business virtually for the foreseeable future.

That includes everything from marketing your business to the actual delivery of your services.

You have to be able to communicate and conduct business without physically standing in front of people.
